We believe that living a socially responsible and environmentally friendly lifestyle should be simple.
Turning Green has created a series of toolkits, lesson plans, and other resources that provide the information and tools necessary to transition from conventional to conscious.
If you wish to utilize any of the resources listed below, please let us know at email@example.com so we can follow your progress! Also feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns or comments. We look forward to working alongside and supporting you!
Through advocacy campaign toolkits, we aim to inform, empower, and mobilize people around the issues that our students feel most passionately about. These campaigns are meant to effect large-scale change on school campuses and in local communities by providing virtual mentorship and action steps that encourage leadership.
GREEN THE GREENS
Freshman year is a student’s first glimpse into their college experience; both academically and socially. We believe that this creates a potential for huge impact, as new students are searching for ways to get involved and make a difference at the place they will call “home” for the next four years. That’s why we have created a series of resources designed specifically to enlist freshmen in the transition from conventional to conscious. Because if a student becomes mobilized and recognizes their power as a consumer all in year one, imagine what could be accomplished in four years!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or comments regarding our resources.

We build lifestyle guides around relevant sustainability issues to share ideas, practices, facts, resources, and key contacts. Created by and for students, our unique approach allows students to ideate, exchange wisdom, and collectively mobilize around powerful actions that foster leadership, collaboration and mentorship to change the world!
Caring for our planet is a shared responsibility, and going back to school is the perfect time to assess your personal footprint and take some practical steps to reduce it. Project Green Dorm (PGD) presents simple ways to green the back-to-school experience, whether in a dorm, off-campus housing, or an apartment. Each of the lifestyle categories has a corresponding Pinterest board highlighting products, resources, and tips for a sustainable college lifestyle.
As you decorate your new living space, buy less and shop smart. Look for labels like USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO Verified, BPA Free, Fair Trade, and 100% post-consumer recycled, as well as second hand, recycled and “upcycled” items. If you buy new, purchase sustainably and support businesses and companies that are doing right by you and the planet.
Informed consumers can and will change the world!
These plans cover a wide array of themes relevant to daily life. They are a great tool for teachers or for student teaching assistants. Check them out and let us know if you have any other ideas or plans that you think we should include in our collection!
