Acure

I first discovered Acure a few years ago, and immediately I was amazed that products with such high quality ingredients could be so affordable! As someone with very sensitive skin, I find myself needing to be meticulous when it comes to choosing my skincare products. Right now, my go-to is Acure’s Radically Rejuvenating Facial Scrub. I love that Acure products are 100% vegan, cruelty free and formaldehyde free and are recyclable through the Terracycle Program. — Julia, Turning Green Intern

CocoJune

This March, Conscious Kitchen / WCCUSD food boxes included CocoJune Pure Coconut plant-based organic yogurt. Their commitment to organic agriculture that works with nature to ensure biodiversity, cleaner water, and healthier ecosystems is a win for people and planet. As someone who eats yogurt every morning, I love how rich and creamy CocoJune yogurt tastes. It has the texture and thickness of traditional greek yogurt, but a lower environmental footprint, as it’s organic and sourced from coconuts. Each spoonful is packed with probiotics for a healthy microbiome that supports your immune system. — Margaret, Turning Green Fellow

Klean Kanteen

When I’m on campus, I always keep an empty food container in my bag so that I never have to worry about using disposable plastics or styrofoam if I grab food on the go. I love Klean Kanteen’s stainless steel food boxes because they are lightweight, durable, and leakproof. I also feel great buying these containers knowing that Klean Kanteen is certified B Corp, climate neutral, and a member of 1% for the Planet. I never go anywhere without my Insulated Waterbottle, but my new favorite is the Meal Size Food Box, which makes it easy to pack meals for all of my adventures. — Sophie, Turning Green Team

ENO Hammocks

As the skies turn from grey to bright blue and the outside air feels warm again, my favorite place on campus to do homework, chat with friends, or just relax is sitting in my ENO hammock – it’s the perfect way to get outside after being stuck indoors for the winter. ENO’s commitment to sourcing high quality materials and protecting the welfare of their community is something I admire about the company, and I love that they’re a 1% for the planet organization. My tie-dyed Double Nest comes with me on every adventure, no matter if I’m hiking in the woods or simply going to class, and makes me feel like I’m on a vacation every single day. — Sophie, Turning Green Team

Darn Tough Socks

As the weather warms and it’s time to go outside, I slip on a pair of warm wool hiking socks from Darn Tough. They promise a lifetime guarantee, source wool that is certified 100% Responsible Wool Standard, and fit comfortably all day. I love that they support the ethical treatment of animals, provide for their community, and boost their local economy in Cabot, Vermont. I am assured that my feet will be protected as a slush through fresh puddles, climb to new heights, and explore the natural world with Darn Tough’s commitment to durability and comfort. — Margaret, Turning Green Fellow
